Hello, my name is David Dettloff and I am the owner of The Ink Lab. I began tattooing in the early summer of 1993, shortly after receiving my Master of Fine Arts Degree in Drawing and Painting from Northwestern University. I started tattooing at Steve's Tattoo in Madison, Wi and after several years I decided I needed a change of atmosphere and moved to Minneapolis to open my own shop. My primary tattooing concerns are maintaining a high quality sterile environment, and high quality artwork. As I continue to tattoo I learn more about my artwork, the technical side of tattooing, and sterilization. It is my hope to continue to learn and grow as an artist and tattooer.
